A Senior Secondary School student from Delta State, Iveose Ifoma, has launched her debut musical album, "Hello Daddy," celebrating the role of fathers in society. The emerging artist, known by her stage name Lilly Wonder, draws inspiration from the legendary Onyeka Onwenu, although she never had the chance to meet her.
In an interview with South-South PUNCH in Warri, Ifoma expressed her admiration for Onwenu, stating, “I am another Onyeka Onwenu in the making with my compositions. My songs, including ‘Hello Daddy,’ ‘Education, the Best Legacy,’ ‘My New Heaven,’ ‘Rooney, My Friend,’ and ‘Abome,’ reflect contemporary issues and feature lyrics in my native Isoko language.”
Hailing from Ofagbe in Isoko North Local Government Area, Ifoma recently completed her final SSS3 exams at Real Delight Model School with outstanding results. Despite her academic achievements, she is currently focusing on her music and fashion design career. The 15-year-old, who will celebrate her birthday on October 24, plans to tour various local government areas in Delta State to showcase her talents and inspire young people to pursue their own passions.
“I am interested in pursuing a career in nursing in the future, driven by my desire to help others,” Ifoma said, expressing her gratitude to her mother, Hon. Efe Edema, who is a local government council chairmanship aspirant in Sapele. She described her mother as a mentor and best friend, thanking her for supporting her early talent development.
With her album release and upcoming plans, Lilly Wonder aims to make a significant impact in the music industry while encouraging youth across Delta State to explore and cultivate their own talents.
