Dr. Samuel Adedoyin Appointed Chancellor of Trinity University, Lagos
At the inaugural convocation ceremony of Trinity University in Yaba, Lagos, Dr. Samuel Adedoyin, the founder and executive chairman of Doyin Investment Limited, was officially appointed as the pioneering Chancellor of the institution. The investiture ceremony marked the commencement of Adedoyin's tenure in his new role.

Dignitaries from various sectors graced the occasion, including Chief Rasaq Okoya, Chairman of Eleganza Group of Companies, and his wife, Mrs. Shade Okoya, former Minister of Industries, Chief (Mrs.) Onikepo Akande, Dr. Florence Ajimobi, wife of the late former governor of Oyo State, and Mr. John Obaro, GMD of SystemSpecs. Additionally, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, the immediate past vice chancellor of the University of Lagos, Akoka, was also in attendance.
During the convocation, Mrs. Ajimobi and Mr. Obaro were honored with honorary doctorate degrees. Mrs. Ajimobi received an honorary PhD in Business Administration, while Mr. Obaro was awarded a doctor of science in ICT.

In his inaugural address as chancellor, Dr. Samuel Adedoyin expressed gratitude to the founder and the entire Trinity University community for entrusting him with the prestigious role. He acknowledged the significance of the position as a call to serve humanity, especially the youth, and called for the support and collaboration of all stakeholders to advance the university's mission.
Dr. Adedoyin congratulated the graduating students and encouraged them to leverage their education to make meaningful contributions to society.
In his remarks, Prof. Clement Kolawole, the Vice-Chancellor of Trinity University, announced that a total of 72 students from the first and second sets across eight departments were awarded their first degrees at the convocation. He highlighted that 20 of the graduates attained first-class honors, with Chidera Okpala and Oyindamola Adewunmi emerging as the overall best students of the first and second sets, respectively, for their outstanding academic achievements.
Prof. Kolawole commended all the graduates and urged them to uphold the values of the university as they embark on their professional journeys, serving as exemplary ambassadors of Trinity University.
