Ekiti State Polytechnic Signs MoU for Food Science Technology Accreditation
Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan-Ekiti, has signed an MoU with DEBTAB Global Resources Limited to support accreditation for its Food Science Technology programme.

Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan-Ekiti, has taken a significant step towards securing accreditation for its Food Science Technology programme by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DEBTAB Global Resources Limited. The agreement, signed on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the bakery premises of DEBTAB Global Resources, aims to facilitate the smooth operation of the programme, which is among the seventeen awaiting accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) this month.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Rector of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, underscored the importance of industry collaboration in technical education. He highlighted that the MoU would provide students with hands-on training in food processing and bakery technology, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in the job market.
The proprietor of DEBTAB Global Resources, Mr. Matthew Adekanbi, and the General Manager, Pastor Adekanbi, pledged their full support for the Polytechnic’s accreditation process. They reaffirmed their commitment to exposing students to industry standards in food production and processing.
The event was attended by key officials of Ekiti State Polytechnic, including the Registrar, Mrs. Abímbólá Yetunde Adewumi; the Bursar, Mr. Oludayo Awe; the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Ayodeji Akerele; and other principal officers.
The strategic partnership is expected to enhance practical learning for students, ensuring they meet industry standards and NBTE requirements. With this initiative, Ekiti State Polytechnic continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading institution dedicated to producing skilled graduates equipped for the workforce.
