Ekiti State University has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission for three additional academic programmes, including Nursing Science, in what university authorities described as a major boost to academic development and quality assurance.

The approval was conveyed in a letter dated April 7, 2026, and signed by Abraham Chundusu, Director of Accreditation at the National Universities Commission, on behalf of the Commission’s Executive Secretary.

The accreditation followed an assessment exercise conducted in October and November 2025 by a team of academic experts tasked with evaluating the human and material resources available for the programmes in line with national minimum academic standards.

The newly accredited programmes are Nursing Science, Adult Education, and Education English Language. According to the Commission, the accreditation status will remain valid for five years before another reaccreditation exercise is due.
