Ekiti State University (EKSU) appointed Arc. Adetunji Bello of the Directorate of Physical Planning, FUTA  as its Director of Physical Planning Directorate.

The Management of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti has appointed Arc. Adetunji Bello of the Directorate of Physical Planning , Federal University of Technology, Akure,FUTA  as its Director of  Physical Planning Directorate 

Arc. Adetunji Bello, a thorough bred and highly skilled professional in the built industry attended Saint Phillip Primary School, Mushin, Lagos from 1973-1979 and Ikeja High School, Ikeja, Lagos from 1979-1984 before proceeding to the University of Lagos, Akoka for B.E.S (Hons) B.Arch degree in Architecture , 1991.

He added to it a Higher Certificate in Computer at the Federal University of Technology, Yola (FUTY) in 1993.

 Bello began his career as an Architect at Bartels Nigeria Limited, Yola, Adamawa State in 1993 and served in similar capacity at Vemez Associates, Yola 1993 –1996; Ahmadevelopment Company 1996-1998; Mahatita Associates, Kaduna 1998 –2000; Akioganik Partnership, Yola (Senior Architect) 2001–2005 and later joined Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola as Assistant Lecturer in 2005 and rose to the rank of Lecturer 1 in 2014 before joining the Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2015  as Chief Architect and became a Deputy Director before his new appointment.

Bello, a member of core professional bodies in his field of study such the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and Association of Architectural Educators in Nigeria (AARCHES), has played supervisory roles in many construction works across states in Nigeria ranging from Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Kogi, Taraba, Adamawa, Yobe, Bayelsa, Anambra and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja some of which are, Central Mosque , Yola, RCCG Church Building, Jalingo, 50 Units Jambutu Housing Estate, Yola, Adamawa State; Head Office, Adamawa Investment and Property Development Company Limited, Yola; Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) Rehabilitation Projects, Mubi and Damaturu; University Library Complex, Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola; 3 in 1, 1, 500 Capacity Lecture Theatre, FUTA; Prince (Chief) Dr. Rotimi Ibidapo SMAT Staff Office Block FUTA; and construction of School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology Building, FUTA, School of Computing Building, FUTA, University Health Centre, FUTA to mention a few.

He also served as Departmental Coordinator for SIWES 2010 till April 2012; member, School of Environmental Sciences, FUTY; ASUU Secretary, FUTY Branch 2012 - 2014; Protem General Secretary, Nigerian Institute of Architects, Adamawa State Chapter 2010-2015; FUTY Examination Malpractice Committee 2009- 2010; and member, University Education Tax Fund (ETF) Projects Monitoring Committee 2011. He is the outgoing General Secretary, Nigerian Institute of Architects, Ondo State Chapter.

Reacting to his appointment, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji Congratulated Architect Bello and expressed optimism that he would bring his wealth of experience and track record of excellence service in FUTA to bear in his new assignment.
