The Federal University, Gusau (FUGUS), has denied claims by Bernard Odoh, the recently sacked Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), that he was employed as a professor at the institution.

In an emergency press conference, FUGUS Vice Chancellor, Professor Muazu Abubakar, clarified that Odoh was never employed as a professor nor did the university offer him such a position.

He further stated that the letters allegedly confirming Odoh’s appointment as a professor, dated April 30 and November 12, 2015, were fraudulent and part of administrative misconduct.
