NUC Accreditation Teams Evaluate B.A. Hausa and M.Sc. Banking and Finance Programmes at Bayero University

Bayero University, Kano, hosted accreditation teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Friday, 29th November 2024, to assess its B.A. Hausa and M.Sc. Banking and Finance programmes.
The teams, led by Professor Muhammad D. Madawaki from the University of Maiduguri and Professor Ibrahim Malumfashi from Kaduna State University, were accompanied by NUC representative Hajiya Aisha Usman. The teams conducted a thorough evaluation to ensure compliance with academic standards and quality assurance.
During the visit, Dr. Shukrah Bello from the Department of Business Administration reviewed the paper on Nigeria's post-COVID-19 economic stability, emphasizing that Nigeria's economic challenges stemmed from multiple crises rather than just the pandemic. The discussions suggested improvements in engaging current policies and including primary data for better insights.
In her vote of thanks, Director of CGS, Amb. Dr. Safiya Nuhu Ahmad, expressed gratitude for the support from various sectors and stakeholders. Professor Abdulhadi Sale Kumurya of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science also extended his thanks for the attendance at his daughter’s wedding.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services, Professor Mahmoud Umar Sani, reaffirmed the university's commitment to maintaining high standards and ensuring continuous improvement. The visit highlighted the university's focus on quality education and academic excellence.
