Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Earns PhD in Islamic Law from University of London

The 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has successfully completed his doctorate in Islamic Law at the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).

His thesis, titled "Codification of Islamic Family Law as an Instrument of Social Reform: A Case Study of the Emirate of Kano and Comparison with the Kingdom of Morocco," was approved without corrections, a rare academic achievement.

Sanusi's PhD thesis reflects his deep engagement with Islamic legal scholarship and social reform, showcasing his commitment to knowledge and service to humanity.

 He holds an honorary doctorate in finance from SOAS, University of London, and a second bachelor's degree in Islamic studies from Africa International University in Khartoum, Sudan.
