Established in 1981 as one of seven Federal Universities of Technology, Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) has evolved into a premier institution for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.
History:
Initially merged with the University of Maiduguri in 1984, MAUTECH regained autonomy in 1988. In 2011, it was renamed after Modibbo Adama Ibn Hassan, a renowned scholar and founder of the Fombina Kingdom.
