Baze University, Abuja, recently celebrated its 11th Convocation Ceremony, where 749 graduates were honored for their academic achievements. Among the distinguished graduates, 21-year-old Farid Aminu Hammayo from Bauchi State stole the spotlight as the Overall Best Student, earning an impressive 3.96 CGPA on a 4.0 scale.

Hammayo’s remarkable academic performance not only earned him the top honor but also a $20,000 award from the University’s Chancellor, Dr. Yusuf Baba Ahmed. In his acceptance speech, Hammayo urged his fellow graduates to embrace their roles as Nigeria’s future leaders, innovators, and change-makers, emphasizing the importance of dedication and resilience in achieving success.

In the postgraduate category, Susan Chioma Obasi (Management) and Adeola Abiodun Ayoola (M.Eng Civil Engineering) were equally celebrated for their perfect 5.0 CGPA, showcasing their exceptional academic excellence. As a reward, the Chancellor offered Susan and Adeola a life-changing opportunity—either employment at Baze University or a fully funded Ph.D. program.
