The development forms part of the institution’s ongoing expansion drive aimed at aligning technical education with national manpower needs and emerging industry demands.
In a public notice issued by the management, prospective candidates were informed that admissions are open for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes newly approved and now available at the Polytechnic.

- HND Animal Health
- HND Animal Production Technology
- HND Crop Production Technology

- ND Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning
School of General Studies
- HND Crime Management
- HND Mass Communication with specialisations in:
- Strategic Communication and Media Studies (Public Relations, Advertising and Development Communication)
- Film and Multimedia Production
- Journalism and Media Studies (Print, Broadcast and Digital Journalism)

School of Management Science
- HND Taxation
- HND Cooperative Economics and Management
- ND Procurement and Supply Chain Management
School of Science Technology
- HND Computer Science with options in:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Cyber Security and Data Protection
- Networking and Cloud Computing
- Software and Web Development
- HND Science Laboratory Technology with option in:

Method of Application
Applicants are required to apply online through the Polytechnic’s official admission portal. The application process involves:
- Visiting the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi portal at portal.fptb.edu.ng
- Clicking on “Online Admission”
- Completing the application form and generating a payment slip (RRR)
- Making payment either at any commercial bank or online via Remita
- Returning to the portal to complete the application using the generated application number
With the exception of ND applicants, all candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦6,500.
Important Admission Requirements
Management highlighted the following key conditions applicants must note:
- In line with JAMB policy, only candidates who select Federal Polytechnic Bauchi as their First Choice Institution will be considered for admission.
- Interested candidates who did not initially choose the Polytechnic as first choice are advised to visit the nearest JAMB office to effect a change of institution.
- ND candidates must accept and print their JAMB admission letter within four weeks of admission to avoid losing the offer.
Prospective students are advised to carefully read all instructions on the portal before proceeding with payment and submission.
