Federal Polytechnic Bauchi SUG President Meets with Security Officials to Address Off-Campus Insecurity
The President of the Student Union Government (SUG) of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Comr. Haruna Umar, met with the Head of the Security Intelligence Unit to discuss security challenges faced by off-campus students in Gwalameji. Comr. Haruna emphasized that the current SUG administration is working closely with stakeholders to ensure the safety of students.
The President of the Student Union Government (SUG) of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Comr. Haruna Umar, recently met with the Head of the Security Intelligence Unit of the institution to discuss growing security concerns affecting the student community in Gwalameji, an area housing many off-campus students.
In his remarks, Comr. Haruna emphasized that the meeting was part of the ongoing efforts by the current SUG administration to find practical solutions to the security challenges faced by students, particularly those residing off-campus. He stated, "This government is still new, and we are now trying our best to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure the safety of lives and properties of our students living off-campus."
The SUG President further assured students that both the Student Union and the school management are working tirelessly to provide a secure and conducive environment for academic activities. "We understand the challenges our students face, and we are committed to making sure they can study and live without fear," he added.
Comr. Haruna also urged students to remain calm and patient while these measures are being implemented, appealing for their continued support and prayers. The SUG President's call to action highlights the administration’s dedication to addressing the students' concerns and ensuring their safety.
