Federal Polytechnic Ugep Releases 2024/2025 Academic Calendar

The Federal Polytechnic, Ugep has officially released its academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic session.

According to the Directorate of Academic Planning, the session will commence on Friday, 1st November 2024, with the resumption of new students.

Key Dates for the First Semester:

- 1st November 2024: Resumption for New Students.

- 4th – 6th November 2024: Student Screening and Registration.

- 11th November 2024: Commencement of Lectures.

- 16th November 2024: Orientation for New Students.

- 20th December 2024

– 10th January 2025: Christmas and New Year Break.

- 10th January 2025: Resumption of Lectures.

- 16th January 2025: Matriculation Ceremony.

- 10th – 20th February 2025: Examinations.

- 28th February 2025: End of First Semester.

Second Semester Dates:

- 28th March 2025: Resumption for Second Semester.

- 7th April 2025: Commencement of Lectures.

- Public Holidays: Good Friday (18th April), Easter Monday (21st April), Children’s Day (27th May), and Democracy Day (12th June).

- 7th – 17th July 2025: Examinations.

- 25th July 2025: Solemn Assembly and Thanksgiving for the End of Session.

The first semester will run for 18 weeks, while the second semester spans 19 weeks. Lectures will be followed by a two-week examination period at the end of each semester, with additional weeks dedicated to marking and results compilation.
