The Student Representative Council (SRC) of the Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, has issued a stern warning to students regarding the improper use of official school communication channels.

In a statement released by the Office of the Speaker, the SRC expressed concern over the growing circulation of unverified posts and false information on platforms meant exclusively for official announcements. The council described such activities as disruptive and detrimental to the academic community.

The SRC advised students involved to cease these actions immediately, noting that the statement serves as a formal warning against any future misconduct. An investigation has already been launched to identify those responsible for spreading misinformation.

The council further emphasized that any student found guilty would be summoned before the Parliament of the SRC under the Student Union Government (SUG) for disciplinary action.

The statement was signed by Rt. Hon. Nkanta Ekeabasi, Speaker of the 3rd Legislative Council, Federal Polytechnic Ukana, and a copy was forwarded to the SUG President, Comrade Raphael D. Akpan, for awareness and necessary follow-up.

The SRC reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring order, accuracy, and responsible communication within the institution, stressing the importance of maintaining the integrity of official channels.
