Federal University Dutsin-Ma Secures Approval for Law Degree Programme
The Council for Legal Education (CLE) has approved the commencement of the Law Degree programme at the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA).
This development follows the National Universities Commission's (NUC) approval of the programme after a rigorous accreditation exercise.
The CLE's approval was conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Armaya'u Hamisu Bichi, after the Council's Board Meeting held on December 18, 2024. This milestone achievement is a testament to the university's commitment to academic excellence and its readiness to abide by regulatory bodies' instructions.
With both NUC and CLE approvals, prospective students can now be admitted to FUDMA's Law programme, and upon graduation, they will be eligible to attend the Nigerian Law School, a prerequisite for law practice in the country.
The CLE's approval followed an inspection visit to FUDMA, where the team assessed the university's preparedness, human resources, and facilities for the Law programme. The inspected facilities included the new Faculty building, Moot Court, office spaces, and classrooms.
Reacting to the approval, Prof. Bichi commended the CLE for finding FUDMA worthy and assured that the university will continue to uphold the instructions of regulatory bodies to advance teaching, learning, and research.
