Nuc Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, Visits Jimoh Babalola University, Commends University’s Growth

Jimoh Babalola University, Ilorin, received the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, NUC, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, on a visit to the University.

Professor Ribadu, who was in Ilorin to attend the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities, CVCNU, conference at the UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN, UNILORIN, seized the opportunity to visit Jimoh Babalola University to assess the institution’s growth.

During the visit, the NUC Executive Secretary commended the Founder, Management, and the entire university community for their efforts in building and developing the institution.

Professor Ribadu expressed appreciation for the opportunity to visit the University and gain firsthand insight into its development, noting the progress being made by the young institution. He remarked, “I attended the CVCNU conference at UNILORIN. It afforded me the opportunity to visit this young university. Quite impressive.”

Responding, the Officer-in-Charge of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Prof. Muftau Adeniyi Ijaiya, presented a progress report on the University and appealed for further assistance from the ES, NUC, for the development of the University. Prof. Ijaiya expressed profound appreciation to the ES for his support to the University and for the visit despite his tight schedule. 

He noted that the ES’s kind remarks in recognizing the efforts of the Founder, Council, and Management in building a university committed to academic excellence and sustainable development were well noted and would continue to guide them in managing the affairs of the University.

The visit provided an opportunity for meaningful interaction between the NUC Executive Secretary and the University Management, further reinforcing the importance of collaboration, quality assurance, and the continuous development of higher education in NIGERIA.

The Executive Secretary was received by the Founder, Alhaji Jimoh Kazeem Babalola; the Acting Registrar, Mr. Samson Oyebamji; the Acting Bursar, Dr. Saheed Daud; the Coordinator of Student Affairs, Mr. Quadri Olayiwola; and the University Relations team led by Mr. Aliu Zakariyah.

The engagement was brought to a close with prayers for the Executive Secretary for Allah’s guidance, and he also offered prayers for the University’s progress.
