University of Jos Issues Directive to Students on Social Media, Exams, and Campus Conduct
The University of Jos has issued a directive to all students, outlining guidelines for their conduct on campus.
The directive, issued by the Directorate of Student Affairs, is based on the decision of the 15th Governing Council of the University.
According to the directive, students are prohibited from using social media to discuss official university issues or to express grievances. Instead, students are advised to use the university's internal mechanisms to seek redress for any perceived injustices.
Additionally, students are barred from bringing bags and phones to examination venues. They are also required to always carry their identity cards for easy identification.
Furthermore, students are informed that permission is required for the use of professional or digital cameras for taking pictures on campus.
The university has emphasized that these directives are for strict compliance, and students are expected to adhere to them to avoid any consequences.
