 The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has announced a one-week mid-semester break, effective February 24, due to a student protest sparked by the alleged killing of a student by the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF).

 

The protest, which began on Sunday and continued into Monday morning, was triggered by the students' accusations that the JTF had shot and killed their colleague, reportedly suspected of being an informant.

In response to the unrest, the university administration directed students to vacate the campus by 6:00 p.m. on February 24, citing concerns for safety and security.
