This collaboration was announced following a recent tour of ANAN University’s facilities in Lafia, which will be made available to FULafia’s accounting students upon finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Federal University of Lafia to Partner with ANAN University for Enhanced Training and Research

Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) is set to enter a partnership with the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) University, aimed at advancing training and research within the field of accountancy. This collaboration was announced following a recent tour of ANAN University’s facilities in Lafia, which will be made available to FULafia’s accounting students upon finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, highlighted the significance of this partnership, sharing that ANAN’s vice-chancellor had formally reached out to initiate the collaboration. He emphasized that this alliance aligns with FULafia’s commitment to fostering educational and research partnerships.

Dr. Tijani Ahmed Ajayi, Head of the Accounting Department, expressed gratitude towards the university's management and ANAN University, noting the expanded training opportunities this partnership will bring. "Once the MoU is signed, we look forward to a range of activities to benefit our students," Ajayi remarked.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Partnerships, Prof. Sama'ila Usman Dakyes, praised ANAN University’s support, underscoring his office’s dedication to enhancing FULafia’s academic resources. Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, added that the collaboration would significantly enrich students' learning experiences.

Dr. Ajayi, who led the delegation to ANAN University’s Accounting Knowledge and Research Opportunity (AKARO) Centre, assured that the partnership would support FULafia’s policy on academic collaboration and equip students with essential accounting technology skills. 

Key attendees of the tour included special assistant to the vice-chancellor, Dr. Musa Bashir Agbawu, Mr. Bashir Ozomata, and Ag. Director of the Centre for General Studies, Dr. Alhassan Abdulkareem.
