Federal University of Technology Minna Secures NUC Approval for Seven New Programmes

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for seven new academic programmes. This approval follows a resource verification visit by experts who assessed the university's readiness to offer these programmes.
The NUC's Ag. Executive Secretary has granted approval for the establishment of the following full-time programmes at the university’s Main Campus starting from the 2024/2025 academic session:
1. B.Tech. Industrial Mathematics
2. B.Tech. Software Engineering
3. B.Tech. Meteorology
4. B.Tech. Data Science
5. B.Tech. Forensic Science
6. B.Tech. Public Health
7. B.Tech. Forestry and Wildlife Technology
The approval does not extend to part-time modes of these programmes. To offer part-time options, the university must submit a request to the NUC for further processing.
The university is required to ensure adequate human and material resources to support the growth and development of the approved programmes.
