FedPoly Bali Governing Council Appoints Abdurrahman Saidu as Deputy Rector
The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Bali, Taraba State, has approved the appointment of Mallam Abdurrahman Saidu as the Deputy Rector of the institution for a four year tenure.
The appointment was approved during the Council's 8th Regular Meeting, held from June 23 to June 27, 2026, at the Rector's Conference Room of the Polytechnic.
Mallam Saidu, an accomplished academic and administrator, joined the Federal Polytechnic Bali in 2011 as a Lecturer I after transferring from the Federal College of Education, Yola. Over the years, he has distinguished himself through dedicated service and exemplary leadership in various academic and administrative roles.
He served as Head of the Department of Computer Science from 2011 to 2019 and was Dean of the School of Science and Technology between 2017 and 2019. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in strengthening academic programmes, promoting staff development, and advancing the institution's drive for excellence.

Born on February 5, 1974, in Mubi South Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Mallam Saidu brings to the office of Deputy Rector a wealth of experience in higher education administration and academic leadership.
In a related development, the Governing Council also approved the appointment of Babangida Adamu as the Medical Director of the Polytechnic, in recognition of his professional competence and commitment to the institution's healthcare services.
The appointments have been greeted with widespread commendation from members of the Polytechnic community, alumni, and other stakeholders, who expressed confidence in the ability of the newly appointed Deputy Rector and Medical Director to make meaningful contributions to the continued growth and development of the institution.
