In a tragic incident that has left the community in shock, a senior secondary school student at Akoko Anglican Grammar School in Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo State, was stabbed to death by a fellow student. The victim, identified as Habib Salau, succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday following a scuffle with another student, Sandra.

Sources indicate that the altercation took place shortly after school hours, just outside the school premises. An anonymous source revealed that Sandra admitted to obtaining the knife used in the stabbing from a student at Ajiroke Technical School.

In the wake of this incident, Habib's body has been transported to the mortuary at the State Specialist Hospital in Ikare-Akoko for an autopsy.

The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Abayomi Oladipo, confirmed that the case has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department. He assured the public that a thorough investigation would be conducted to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
