Fidei Polytechnic Gboko Hosts 2nd SIWES Zonal Coordinators’ Quarterly Meeting

Fidei Polytechnic Gboko recently welcomed Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) Coordinators from various tertiary institutions within Benue State. The meeting, held earlier today, aimed to strengthen collaboration and enhance students’ practical exposure.

Mr. Christopher Aper Igbadio, the proactive Rector of Fidei Polytechnic, extended a warm welcome to the Zonal Coordinators. He emphasized the crucial role of SIWES in preparing students for real-world work scenarios post-graduation. SIWES provides students with hands-on experience, allowing them to engage with equipment and machinery not typically available within their institutions.

Representatives from several institutions attended the meeting, including Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo, Benue State University Makurdi, Akperan Orshi Polytechnic Yandev, University of Mkar, Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology Makurdi, and others. The collaborative effort aims to enhance students’ employability and bridge the gap between academia and industry.
