FUCAP Bayero University Chapter Hosts Career Seminar for Campus Ambassadors

The Fultrex-X Unilever Campus Ambassador Programme (FUCAP) held a one-day Career Seminar for Campus Ambassadors on September 11, 2024, at the Convocation Arena, New Campus. The event, organized in collaboration with Unilever and UNICEF, aimed to recruit and empower top-performing students as campus ambassadors.

In his opening remarks, Professor Shamsudeen Umar, the Dean of Student Affairs, expressed gratitude to the organizers for their commitment to youth empowerment and thanked Unilever and UNICEF for their significant contributions to nurturing student potential. He encouraged participants to actively engage in the program and utilize available resources to address Nigeria's numerous challenges.

Malam Jafaru Tijani, Coordinator and Regional Manager of U-Report, outlined the seminar's benefits, including mentorship from industry experts and access to job opportunities and stipends with Unilever Nigeria. Participants were treated to sessions on career selection, data analytics, and the UNICEF platform for job placement, presented by experts including Mr. Geoffrey Loorjar and Mr. Albert Bosah Nzekwu.

The seminar also included a "CV Clinic," where students received guidance on crafting effective resumes. To conclude the event, certificates were awarded to participants, followed by a raffle draw for premium prizes, including four handsets.

The seminar highlighted the importance of empowering students with essential skills for future career success and fostering a community of proactive Campus Ambassadors at Bayero University.
