Bayero University Celebrates Sporting Achievements, Welcomes NASU Leadership

Bayero University, Kano (BUK), recently highlighted its successful participation in international sporting events, featuring 42 competing universities, including 21 from African countries and 21 from Nigeria. Professor Rabiu Mohammed commended the organization of the games and the support from Vice-Chancellor Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas for sponsoring BUK athletes.

Coach Yahuza expressed excitement for the upcoming Nigerian University Games (NUGA) at the University of Jos, aiming to build on their success.

In another development, Registrar Comrade Haruna Aliyu received the national leadership of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) on September 20, 2024. NASU’s General Secretary, Prince Peters A. Adeyemi, praised Aliyu’s contributions during his previous tenure and emphasized the importance of stakeholder involvement in decision-making.

Aliyu assured NASU leaders of his support and highlighted the significance of practical experience in university administration. 

Additionally, the university announced a revised form for the Furniture Loan Scheme and released the first DTLC allocation for the 2023/2024 Session, reflecting its commitment to staff welfare and collaboration.
