FUCAP Career Seminar Set to Empower UNILAG Students with Future-Ready Skills
The FUCAP Career Seminar, a collaboration between Unilever, UNICEF, and the University of Lagos (UNILAG), is set to empower students with essential career skills.

A transformative career and personal development initiative, the FUCAP Career Seminar, is poised to equip University of Lagos (UNILAG) students with essential work skills for the future. Organized through a collaboration between Unilever, UNICEF, and UNILAG, this seminar aims to impact 700,000 Nigerian youths across the country.
Scheduled for Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the J.F. Ade-Ajayi (Main) Auditorium starting at 9:00 a.m., the seminar promises an enriching experience for attendees. Students will have the opportunity to engage with top executives from Unilever, a leading global fast-moving consumer goods company, and experts from UNICEF. Key highlights include Business Model Canvas sessions, a CV Clinic for personalized career guidance, and chances to intern with Unilever.
According to the organizers, participants can also anticipate exciting prizes and rewards throughout the event. The seminar underscores a broader commitment to enhancing career readiness among Nigerian youth, fostering entrepreneurship, and preparing students for impactful career paths.
In preparation for the seminar, students are encouraged to participate in an online Entrepreneurship Course, which offers a Certificate of Completion and other incentives. Additionally, the U-Report platform provides a forum for students to voice their opinions on global issues, further enriching their engagement and learning experience.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing UNILAG's dedication to ensuring every student is equipped for future success. The event is open to all students across faculties and levels, reflecting its university-wide significance.
