FUD one of the most preferred institutions in the North West – VC
The vice chancellor Federal University Dutse, Prof. Abdulkarim Mohammed, has described the university as one of the most preferred university in the Northwest region by students monitored by myschoolnews.
The VC who stated this during the 11th matriculation ceremony of the university, saying FUD has become competitive because of the success recorded in the university over the years.
He said this year’s admission is particularly competitive because of the combination of the 2021/2022 set.
He said a total number of 23,951 applicants applied for various programmes in FUD, adding that MBBS programme alone had the highest number of application with a total number of 3,893 applications, while the MDCN quota is only 100.
Mr Abdulkarim then congratulated the matriculating students and urged them to adhere strictly to the matriculation oath and restrain themselves from vices, examination malpractices/misconduct, cultism, drug abuse, fighting, stealing, among others.
The VC also appealed to students to observe the dress code and behave well while on campus, adding that any students with a complaint should channel it through the Dean of Students Affairs, SUG or the various staff advisers on campus in order to resolve it amicably.
