FULafia DVC Presents Collaboration Report, Highlights University’s Path to Global Excellence

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Partnerships at Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Samaila Usman Dakyes, has presented a comprehensive report detailing the local and international institutions, agencies, NGOs, ministries, and commissions collaborating with the university. The report was submitted to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman.

During the presentation, Professor Dakyes emphasized FULafia's ambition to become a world-class university, comparable to esteemed institutions like Oxford and Harvard. He expressed confidence in the university’s trajectory under the leadership of Professor Abdul Rahman, predicting that FULafia would soon be ranked among the top universities in Africa, known for its cutting-edge research and groundbreaking scientific achievements.

“I have no doubt that the way this University is going under the current vice-chancellor (Abdul Rahman), it’ll soon be ranked among the best universities in Africa,” Dakyes stated.

He also encouraged his academic colleagues to explore various research areas to find solutions to the challenges facing Nigeria and humanity as a whole.

In response, Vice-Chancellor Abdul Rahman commended Professor Dakyes for his efforts in securing numerous collaborations. He highlighted the importance of partnerships in the era of globalization, noting that no institution can thrive in isolation.
