FULafia VC Charges New Students at 2025/2026 Orientation

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has advised newly admitted students to remain focused as they begin their academic journey.

Speaking at the 2025/2026 Orientation Programme held at the University’s 500-seat Auditorium, Kida said: “Many have applied to come to FULafia, but only a few lucky ones were admitted."

He urged the students to value the opportunity they have got and make their families proud.

He cautioned them against negative peer pressures and distractions that could derail their academic goals, stressing that university rules are designed to guide students toward success. 

He emphasised discipline, integrity, hard work and respect for authorities, saying that obedience to law is "very important."

Kida warned against social vices and indecent dressing, advising students to carry their identification card and report suspicious activities.

The Registrar of FULafia, Dr Nuradeen Abdu, and Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Abdulrazaq Baba Abdulrahman, also addressed the students.
