The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, has signed a significant collaborative agreement with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) as part of the Energizing Education Programme (EEP). The signing took place during the ongoing stakeholders' engagement forum, which brought together representatives from EEP beneficiary institutions in Abuja.

The Energizing Education Programme, implemented by REA under the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP), is supported by the World Bank and the African Development Bank (AfDB). The initiative aims to provide reliable power supply, street lighting, and world-class renewable energy training centers to selected tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Additionally, the project will upgrade the distribution network to enhance power supply in these institutions.
