Raifu Kazeem Wins Inaugural Professor A.A. Emmanuel Table Tennis Competition at Federal University of Technology Akure

Raifu Kazeem, a student from the Department of Estate Management, emerged victorious in the inaugural Professor A.A. Emmanuel Table Tennis Competition held at the Federal University of Technology Akure from September 17 to 19, 2024. The tournament, sponsored by Professor Adebayo Emmanuel, provided a recreational break for students in the School of Environmental Technology.
Kazeem triumphed in a closely contested final against Ibidapo Temitope from the Department of Architecture, showcasing exceptional skill and resilience. The competition began with 16 participants and progressed through knockout stages, culminating in the final match that drew significant support from spectators.
Professor Emmanuel initiated the tournament to promote unity and engagement among students while providing a platform for showcasing their talents. Plans are underway for future editions of the competition, which will include prizes and trophies. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, commended the initiative, highlighting its importance in fostering community and sportsmanship among students.
