The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) demonstrated its unwavering commitment to fostering leadership development and driving solution-based conversations as its representatives participated in the recent "Elevate the Game Nigeria Virtual Conference & Workshop" held on Thursday, October 27, 2023.

This groundbreaking initiative aimed at harnessing the immense potential of Nigeria's youth and empowering them to effect positive change within their communities received notable contributions from FUTA's faculty members and student leaders.

Professor Tomola M. Obamuyi took the stage as he delivered a thought-provoking keynote address, titled "The State of the Nation Through the Eyes of Some of Our Young Leaders." Dr. Angela Absailim joined a distinguished panel discussion on the same topic, sharing her valuable insights and expertise. Representing the student perspective, Asoore Jesunifemi TenTen, the former President of FUTA's Student Union (FUTASU), offered fresh insights on the panel.

The "Elevate the Game Nigeria Virtual Conference & Workshop" revolved around the theme "Building the Youth of Nigeria," with a primary mission to equip young individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to become effective leaders and changemakers. The event also aimed to foster a sense of community and collaboration among the youth, inspire them to take action, and create a network of youth leaders who can support each other in driving change.
