On February 27, 2025, the President of American University of Nigeria (AUN), Dr. Dewayne Frazier, led a delegation to the Malkohi IDP Open Camp, where they assessed living conditions and provided humanitarian support to displaced persons.
The team, comprising Provost Dr. Paul Vita, Dr. Becky, Dr. Grace, and Director of Community Services Ahmed Alhaji Aliyu, engaged with the community, distributing food to men and women, while Dr. Frazier handed out sweets to children. The camp, with 400 households and 4,600 family members, underscores the need for continued humanitarian assistance.
Earlier that day, the AUN delegation visited Wurochekke Primary School, where AUN students were conducting community service, reinforcing the university's commitment to education, service, and community development. AUN remains dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities through education and humanitarian efforts .
