Dr. Mercy Akerele, an alumna of the Federal University of Technology, Akure in Ondo state, has recently made headlines by joining the prestigious Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as a faculty member. Dr. Akerele is one of four new faculty members who have been appointed at the University, further solidifying her position as a respected and esteemed professional in the field

Dr. Mercy Akerele, an alumna of the Federal University of Technology, Akure in Ondo state, has recently made headlines by joining the prestigious Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as a faculty member. 

Dr. Akerele, who graduated from FUTA with a bachelor's degree in Physics Electronics, is to assume her new role as an assistant professor at the University.

In addition to her bachelor's degree, Dr. Akerele also holds a Master of Science in Physics and Technology from the University of Birmingham, as well as a PhD in Biomedical Imaging Science from the University of Leeds. Her impressive educational background and dedication to her field have undoubtedly contributed to her success and recognition in the field of radiology.
