Israel Opeyemi Adeseko, a distinguished alumnus of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), has achieved a significant milestone by graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Tasmania, Australia.
Adeseko shared his journey, filled with perseverance and determination to contribute to environmental communication and knowledge translation scholarship. Despite facing challenges such as navigating through a global pandemic and regional bushfires, Adeseko successfully completed his doctoral research, showcasing resilience and dedication.
Reflecting on the past four years, Adeseko acknowledged the intensity of his academic journey and the transition from industry to academia. He expressed gratitude to his supervisory team, fondly referred to as 'My Two Libbys & One Claire'—comprising Libby Lester, Libby Pinkard, and Claire Konkes—for their exceptional support and mentorship.

Starting his journey from the humble confines of a room in Woleph hostel at FUTA, Adeseko's remarkable academic journey has culminated in a joyous and successful conclusion, earning him the distinguished title of Dr. Israel Adeseko.
