The Vice Chancellor of the Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu Rev Fr Prof Christian Anieke has announced the appointment of a new acting medical director for the school's teaching hospital.

The Vice Chancellor of the Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu Rev Fr Prof Christian Anieke has announced the appointment of a new acting medical director for the school's teaching hospital.

Myschoolnews reports he revealed this while briefing newsmen on recent achievements of the institution. The new CMD is identified as Professor Cajetan Nwadinigwe .

 

Rev Fr Prof Anieke also revealed that the name of the hospital has been changed from Ntasi Obi Ndi no na Afufu to Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital and is being repositioned to render high class and efficient health care to the residents of Enugu state and beyond.

 

He further explained that the university’s college of medicine is committed to change the narrative of college of medicines in Nigeria.

 

The Vice Chancellor thereafter announced that the university has an agreement with Kepler university in Austria for the training of students of the College of Medicine, stressing that the students will take some of the courses as those in Kepler university.

 

Rev. Fr Prof Anieke stated that the setting up of a DNA Centre at the Ugwuomu campus of Godfrey Okoye University is to ensure adequate training of the students in stem cell analysis and other medical treatments.
