Gombe State College of Health Science and Technology Inducts 49 into AMELTAN

The Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Gombe State College of Health Science and Technology, Kaltungo, has inducted 49 graduands into the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMELTAN).

The induction ceremony, held at the college hall, was graced by dignitaries from the national body, zone, and Gombe State chapter. Dr. Lukas Joseph, chairman of the occasion, congratulated the inductees on their successful graduation and charged them to be good ambassadors of the profession.

Dr. Sani Abubakar, Head of the Department, presented the graduands to the Registrar/CEO of the association, represented by Mrs. Biose from the North East office of the MLSCN, for oath-taking and licensing.

In their goodwill messages, the College's Ag. Provost/ Sole Administrator, Dr. Umar Muhammed, and the Dean of the School of Medical Laboratory and Biomedical Engineering, MLS, Emmanuel Peter, enjoined the newly inducted MLTs to be precise in their investigations, as poor test results can lead to death.

The Ag. Registrar, Mrs. Sa'adatu Yelma, in her closing remarks, urged the new and certified members of AMELTAN to start practicing the profession immediately, without waiting for white-collar jobs. She wished them well in their respective endeavors.
