Gombe State University Honors 70-Year Old Inventor Who Never Attended School With Honorary Doctorate

In a remarkable display of recognition and appreciation for a lifetime of groundbreaking innovation, Gombe State University has conferred a Doctor of Science honoris causa upon 70-year-old inventor, Engineer Baba Hadi.

Engineer Hadi Usman's extraordinary journey as an inventor began in the 1970s, where he achieved significant milestones such as establishing a radio station, developing a radio transmitter, designing a Vespa engine helicopter, and even creating a rudimentary telephone handset.

Notably, Engineer Hadi's recent inventions continue to astound, as he has devised a revolutionary generator that operates without conventional fuel and a stove that utilizes water as its primary energy source, among other remarkable innovations.

What makes Engineer Hadi's story even more extraordinary is the fact that he never received a formal education, yet he managed to memorize the Holy Qur'an at the tender age of 12.

Today, at the combined convocation ceremony of the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th convocations of Gombe State University, Engineer Hadi Usman is set to unveil some of his latest groundbreaking inventions, including a state-of-the-art security apparatus.

This recognition by Gombe State University serves as a testament to the power of human ingenuity and determination, regardless of formal educational backgrounds.
