Gombe State University Hosts First-Ever On-Campus Eid al-Adha Congregational Prayer
In a landmark development for the institution, Gombe State University (GSU) has successfully hosted its first-ever on-campus congregational Eid al-Adha prayer.
The historic gathering united university administrators, academic staff, students, and neighboring communities in a shared atmosphere of devotion and peace.

The maiden campus session was held on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, at the Gombe State University Central Masjid.
The historic congregational prayer was led by the Chief Imam of the GSU Central Masjid, Professor Dahiru Inuwa Ibrahim.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, led a high-powered delegation of institutional leaders to the prayer ground. Notable dignitaries in attendance.
University management noted that establishing an official on-campus Eid prayer ground marks a significant chapter in GSU's history. The initiative reflects the university’s enduring commitment to promoting spiritual growth, moral excellence, and community engagement within a harmonious environment.
Following the conclusion of the prayers, Vice-Chancellor Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness the occasion.
