 In a move to celebrate academic brilliance and promote professional excellence, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, on Wednesday afternoon, formally honoured Maryam Sulaiman Abubakar, a record-breaking Pharmacy graduate from Bayero University, Kano (BUK).

In recognition of her historic performance, Governor Namadi announced that the Jigawa State Government will provide full sponsorship for her PhD programme. The Governor described Maryam as a symbol of the intellectual potential inherent in Jigawa’s youth and a source of pride for the entire state.

“Our administration remains unwavering in its commitment to identifying, encouraging, and supporting outstanding indigenes who distinguish themselves in their fields of study,” Governor Namadi stated.
