Governor Namadi Honours BUK Pharmacy Prodigy, Maryam Abubakar, with Full PhD Sponsorship

 In a move to celebrate academic brilliance and promote professional excellence, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, on Wednesday afternoon, formally honoured Maryam Sulaiman Abubakar, a record-breaking Pharmacy graduate from Bayero University, Kano (BUK).

Maryam emerged as the most decorated student in her cohort, sweeping nearly every category of academic excellence within the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her unprecedented list of accolades includes:

In recognition of her historic performance, Governor Namadi announced that the Jigawa State Government will provide full sponsorship for her PhD programme. The Governor described Maryam as a symbol of the intellectual potential inherent in Jigawa’s youth and a source of pride for the entire state.
