Governor Uba Sani Honored as One of Africa’s 100 Most Notable Peace Icons for 2024
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has been honored with the plaque and certificate of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa 2024 for his contributions to peacebuilding and the education sector in the state.
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has been honored with the plaque and certificate of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa 2024 for his contributions to peacebuilding and the education sector in the state. The 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa organization is collaborating with the Kaduna State government on the African Peace Scholarship Project, aimed at enhancing service delivery in the education sector.
During a briefing at the Kaduna State Government House, Project Director Africa of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa and Peace Ambassador Agency, Ambassador Kingsley Amafibe, highlighted the partnership facilitated through the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on the FeedMe Program, Dr. Fauziya Buhari. This initiative aims to support the state government’s efforts in education.
Ambassador Amafibe praised Governor Sani’s administration for promoting education and encouraging school attendance among children in the state. He emphasized that the governor’s initiatives, including free education from primary to secondary school and a free feeding program for students, are crucial for unlocking future opportunities for the students.
The partnership will focus on inspecting facilities and ensuring the welfare of students in Kaduna State. Ambassador Amafibe also urged other state governments to emulate Kaduna State’s effective performance in the education sector.
Additionally, Governor Uba Sani will be a guest speaker at the 14th Peace Achievers International Conference and All White Gala Dinner and Awards Night, scheduled for November 23rd. Registration for the event is currently open.
