Haleemah Hamza Graduates UDUS with Remarkable 4.87 CGPA in Biochemistry, Aims to Impact Health Research

Throughout her academic journey, Haleemah benefited from scholarships provided by PTDF and the Ilorin Emirate Professional Association, which further fueled her academic pursuits
Haleemah Hamza, a determined and hardworking student has graduated with with an impressive 4.87 CGPA in Biochemistry at Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. (UDUS).
Sharing her academic journey, she revealed that she originally riginally aspired to study Medicine and Surgery, However got admission to study Biochemistry and excelled beyond expectations. Haleemah, an indigene of Ilorin West, Kwara State, expressed her initial plans in pursuing medicine but fate introduced her to the world of Biochemistry instead. She described the transition as a blessing in disguise, challenging her to excel in a different path than initially planned. With determination and relentless efforts, she not only adapted to the change but also thrived in her chosen field.

Reflecting on her undergraduate experience, Haleemah acknowledged the invaluable support of her parents, who provided unwavering financial and emotional support throughout her studies. "I had an exciting experience while in school because I had the support of my parents who provided my needs for me. They shouldered all the expenses, so, I have no reason to be distracted from my studies because of funds," she shared.
During her undergraduate years, Haleemah faced the challenge of balancing academics and extracurricular activities. Despite the time constraints, she managed her schedule wisely, ensuring that she excelled in her studies while actively participating in campus events.
When asked about her stellar achievement of graduating with a 4.87 CGPA, Haleemah humbly attributed her success to divine favor and relentless effort. "I give thanks to Allah and praise him for His Favor upon me because some people are better and more brilliant than me but were unable to achieve this feat," she expressed gratefully.

Throughout her academic journey, Haleemah benefited from scholarships provided by PTDF and the Ilorin Emirate Professional Association, which further fueled her academic pursuits.She highlighted the significant role played by her supervisor in motivating and guiding her through the challenges she faced during her academic journey.
Looking ahead, Haleemah plans to utilize her knowledge and skills to address real-world challenges by becoming a researcher focused on providing essential drugs to underserved communities. She aims to contribute to reducing the impact of diseases such as Malaria and other prevalent illnesses affecting the population.
