Neil Foden, the former headteacher of Ysgol Friars, faced justice on July 1, as he was sentenced to 17 years in prison by Mold Crown Court. Foden's crimes involved the sexual abuse of four female students, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

Judge Rowlands, addressing Foden during the sentencing, condemned his behaviour as stemming from an "arrogant sense of self worth." The Judge emphasized that Foden showed no remorse and lacked insight into the severe harm inflicted upon the victims and their families.

One of the victims who bravely appeared in court to read a statement, described feeling physically and mentalkly exhausted due to Foden's actions. Another victim, present at the sentencing, expressed a belief that Foden sought revenge by forcing her to testify in court

A third girl, also abused by Foden declared, "I believed him when he said he loved me, and I was the only one he wanted. What Mr. Foden has done is evil, ithas hit me hard and I will never forgive him!"
