The journey of academic excellence continued as Professor Anyanwu advanced to the University of Nigeria, where he earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master's degrees. However, his insatiable quest for knowledge and academic growth led him back to the University for a Ph.D. program in 1990. His dedication to his studies and his exceptional promise as a scholar led to the successful completion of his Doctorate degree in Political History in 1993. In recognition of his academic prowess, Professor Anyanwu was immediately retained as a lecturer in the Department of History and International Studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the academic world, with his journey reaching its zenith in 2006 when he was promoted to the rank of Professor. Professor Uchenna Casmir Anyanwu's impact goes beyond the classroom and his numerous academic accomplishments. He is also a prolific author with notable publications to his name. Some of his works include "Treading the Rough and Tumble Field: Oral Tradition and History in Northeastern Igboland" (2005), "Igbo Society in Transition: The Ezza Example" (2006), and "The Life and Times of Elizabeth" (2018). Additionally, he has contributed over fifty outputs in book chapters and articles in learned journals, leaving an indelible mark on the field of history and international studies. As a testament to his international recognition, Professor Anyanwu was honored as a Fulbright Scholar and spent time at Boston College in Massachusetts, USA.
