The incident occurred on Friday morning when corps members were preparing to bathe.The bathroom wall of a female hostel reportedly caved in,causing injuries to those nearby.

The victims, who are currently participating in the three-week compulsory orientation for the one-year national youth service, were promptly rushed to the camp clinic for medical treatment. Authorities are closely monitoring their condition and providing necessary care.

Taking to their official social media handle on X.com @officialnyscng, the NYSC management issued a statement on Friday, stating, “Management wishes to inform the general public about the collapsed convenience that occurred in the early hours of today, Friday 12th July 2024, at Ekiti State Orientation Camp in Ise-Orun, Emure Ekiti, that the situation is under control.”
