The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Delta Agbor, Prof. Ben Nwanne, has expressed his commitment to transforming the faculty into a leading center of academic excellence and innovation.

In an exclusive interview with the UNIDEL Media Team at his office in Owa Oyibu, Prof. Nwanne outlined his vision for the faculty, which includes enhancing the quality of academic programs, advancing research, and nurturing a culture of innovation and mentorship among students.

"My goal is to make the Faculty of Social Sciences a hub for academic excellence, innovation, and research, producing graduates who are equipped with the necessary skills to succeed globally," he stated.

He also revealed plans to launch the faculty’s journal soon and urged faculty members, especially lecturers, to continue publishing in order to improve their academic standing.

Commenting on the state of the faculty building complex, Prof. Nwanne noted substantial progress, as observed during a recent management inspection. He praised Vice Chancellor Prof. Stella Chiemeke for sustaining the university's accelerated growth and emphasized the importance of integrity and due process in achieving success.

Prof. Nwanne further urged his colleagues to remain dedicated to the teaching profession, emphasizing the need for quality education and the impact it has on students' futures.
