ILUMSA North America Donates Solar Power Facility to UNILORIN College of Health Sciences
The North American branch of ILUMSA has donated a 10KVA solar power system to enhance energy supply and support learning at the University of Ilorin's College of Health Sciences.
The North American branch of the Ilorin University Medical Students Alumni (ILUMSA) has generously donated a 10KVA solar power system with a lithium battery to the College of Health Sciences at the University of Ilorin. This donation aims to ensure a more consistent power supply for the college.
The Provost of the College, Prof. Biodun Sulyman Alabi, announced this significant contribution during a discussion with the UNILORIN Bulletin. He mentioned that the college's Works Unit staff members are currently working to deploy the facility effectively for the benefit of the entire college community.

Prof. Alabi, speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, expressed the management, staff, and students' gratitude to the donors. He highlighted that the solar power system would address the energy needs of the Old Lecture Rooms 1 to 4, enhancing teaching, learning, and research activities within the college.

In his statement, Prof. Alabi encouraged other alumni to follow ILUMSA's example by giving back to the college. Such contributions, he noted, would support the college in producing more medical professionals who would benefit the nation and humanity at large.
