In a historic move, Al-Hikmah University's Governing Council has announced the promotion of eight of its academic staff to the prestigious rank of professor, with Dr. Moriam Adeyemi Aremu becoming the institution's first female professor since its establishment in 2005.

Dr. Aremu, a distinguished scholar from the Department of Business Administration, has been with Al-Hikmah University since 2009, starting her journey as an assistant lecturer. Over the years, her dedication to academia and her field has seen her rise through the ranks, achieving the position of reader in 2021.

Her colleagues and students alike have praised Dr. Aremu for her leadership and contributions to the university. In 2013, she took on the role of acting Head of Department, and she currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Summer Studies.
