JAMB Introduces Mandatory Fingerprint Verification for CAPS Services

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a significant change to its services, requiring all users to undergo fingerprint verification for any transactions on the JAMB CAPS portal. This measure aims to enhance security and prevent unauthorized access.

Students will now need to visit accredited JAMB CBT centers for all CAPS-related services, including; Students who haven't uploaded their O'level results can do so at a CBT center.Students can also correct their email addresses at a CBT center.All other CAPS-related services will require fingerprint verification at a CBT center.

JAMB has been emphasizing the importance of biometric verification in its registration and examination processes. The board introduced biometric verification to prevent impersonation, ensure accurate identification, and maintain the integrity of the examination process .
