Vice President Kashim Shettima has commended Prof Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), for generating over N50 billion for the Federal Government within a year, making him the first JAMB Registrar to achieve this milestone.

Speaking at a public engagement organized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on "Youth, Religion, and the Fight against Corruption," Vice President Shettima highlighted the significant financial contribution of JAMB under Prof Oloyede's leadership. He emphasized that prior to Oloyede's tenure, JAMB had never generated up to $1 million for the Federal Government.

Among the dignitaries present at the event were the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi; former Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola; the Ọọni of Ifẹ, Ọba Enitan Ogunwusi; the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar; the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria; the Chairperson of the Nigeria Committee of Vice Chancellors, Professor Lilian Salami; and the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede.

Prof Ishaq Oloyede was appointed as the registrar and Chief Executive of JAMB by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016.
